Breakfast

Same bowl, same pan
Same breakfast I've been havin'
Since the first time I set out on my own
Still feel like that kid
But I remember everything I did since then
And I'm happy as hell here in my third Texas home

Took a little bit of luck, but not that much
Standing alongside the fire trucks
Thinking about what I thought I'd never know
Collect the last of my gifts
Lose the very same way I win
Even when I'm down and out, nowadays I'm never alone

I couldn't be bothered to pay it off
So I tried to sell more than I bought
Knew when it was time to start all over again
Made it to the bottom of every list
But there's always something I missed
I'll be content and I'll be obsessed 'til the very end

Now I'm doing the math, it's not that bad
Keeping track of everything I've ever had
And the reasons why I decided to let it go
Save what I can fix
Use anything I build
Repeat what I learn, you can skip my turn, I'm enjoying the show
