When Winter is Over

The year is getting older
The snow has come and put the world to sleep
And when the winter is over
I bet that there'll be life here in the spring
Will there be life for us?
Will you stay or will you leave?
Because I could trust in you
But you could never trust in me

In school I had a teacher
But she could never teach me anything
And after class, she came to me
She said that I'll should die to start again
But I just closed my eyes
I didn't hear a thing
But when the music stops
There is nothing left to sing

Jesus was her savior
But he could never save her
Could he now?
And all the men who dance with her
Could never know that she would break the vow
I guess it's over now
We put her in the ground
Now, she's a silhouette
What did you expect?
You can't hold your breath
You can't cheat your death
But at least I can do without
