Remember When

Remember when
We had little ones
And we would sing a lullaby
We'd lay them down
Without a sound
And pray they wouldn't cry

Those sweet sweet days are gone
They didn't last very long
But the sweetness of our memories
Will never fade away

Remember when
We'd pack the family van
To see rivers and mountains way out west.
We'd listen as we drove
To every song by Sara Groves
Our family trips were the best

Those sweet sweet days have passed
We knew they wouldn't last
But the sweetness of our memories
Will never fade away

Remember when
We had teens and at times
It was a struggle I confess
Now our children are grown
With families of their own
We're so grateful and blessed

Now sweet sweet days are here
It's just you and me again, my dear
And the sweetness of the new memories
We make in this place
As we walk in His grace
Are sealed within our hearts
They will never fade away

So sit with me a while
And we will smile
As we remember when
