On Halloween
For a moment I couldn't believe... did my eyes just deceive me
The stone gargoyles had come to life late one Halloween night
The master of the house was out that night. I'm alone in my castle looking for a bite
To feed my creatures and hungry beasts
They're all very anxious for their Halloween treats
All I can say is that the mood was set... dimly lit, flickering and rainy wet
Lightning struck our harpsichord. Bach's fugue in D minor opened the door
Is it real or is it a dream? Anything can happen on Halloween
Black cats and witches reunite, casting spells to give you a fright
Moments later some guests arrived. This is a story I could never contrive
A tall man with a long, black cape and glowing eyes wants to tell me my fate
And a stiff, awkward giant with skin of green
And a bolted neck like out of some horror silver screen
And an old, moldy zombie wrapped in tattered white
And a wolf in man's clothing that walks upright
They all had an interesting story to tell. We partied 'til dawn and then a spell
Must have made them disappear before my eyes
But the Count left his cape; I tell you no lie
He'll be back
Is it real or is it a dream? Anything can happen on Halloween
Black cats and witches reunite, casting spells to give you a fright
Is it real or is it a dream? Anything can happen on Halloween
Is it real or is it a dream? Anything can happen on Halloween
Is it real or is it a dream? Anything can happen
