Nostalgia

Lost but not forgotten as the moon closes its doors for the day
I look up to see a small glint of what I used to be
The burnt memories of the past I know they cannot last
I got lost in my hopes and dreams and now life isn't what it seems

Hey, what can I
Say, what happened?
I may be older but I find it's hard to climb
It's hard to climb back into my cubicle, my cubicle-shaped mind

As I stare up at the orange skies I often wonder why
Why can't I go back to my childhood
When nothing needed to be understood, life was so simple and so plain
All I can do now is walk down memory lane

Hey, what can I
Say, what happened?
I may be older but I find it's hard to climb
It's hard to climb back into my cubicle, my cubicle-shaped mind

I lie awake in my bed as thoughts of old adventures swim through my head
Remembering when I had no worries;
I had no troubles or responsibilities
Why do we have to change? Can't things stay the same?

Hey, what can I
Say, what happened?
I may be older but I find it's hard to climb
It's hard to climb back into my cubicle, my cubicle-shaped mind
