Throat Full of Ash

I painted you a picture of the only solution there is, pointing precisely in its direction
The colours were so bright and defined
But you just went ahead and decided to let yourself die

Expired, Expired

It's my turn to slaughter

You can't even blame it on errors or oversights, it was just plain gluttony
More interested in keeping the green in your pocket
Than keeping it under your feet
But but but but was it worth it?
Taking the womb from your own mother
Enjoy, destroy
A foot on my throat but now you reap what you sow
The mass purging of your own

Expired, expired

A power, unrivalled
To bring about the end
Of my own suffering
If I go down I take you all with me

I bring about the extinction
You hide, terrified in
My own defiled sanctuary
You broke our trust
I turn the world to rust

It's pretty obvious who's at fault here
Don't look away when I'm speaking
The ones you exploited weren't able to avoid me either
That grievous misanthropy is on you

Broken heart, broken world

And there were so many chances
I had endless patience but you still fucked it up

You know I held out hope for such a long time
I could feel the sentiment more than the sediment decline
My lungs breathed in the hope of some more life
That reciprocation I used to recognise in mankind
It's kinda disappointing to say that I think you absorbed my words of wisdom the wrong way
I said to leave no stone unturned but you drilled the foundations
And let my body burn

Burn
The connection between mother and child lost
Burn
Did your benefits outweigh the cost?
Burn
I lament the lives of those who had no hope
Burn
It's my smoke yet your own hands that choke

It's your hands that choke
It's my smoke yet your hands that choke

It's my smoke yet your own hands that choke
It's my smoke yet your own hands that choke
