Break From Everything

You've got that carefree attitude
I've read about it in those self-help books you choose
It's rubbing off – the way that you intended
Does it come easy - im struggling to remember

Not sure I work that way – I can't keep it going
Making the same mistakes it must be showing...

Living out the same scene – daydream – tired of being mainstream
No one wants to hear me singing softly out of key
I'm huddled in the back room - starting time is really soon
But I just need a break - need a break - need a break from everything

More or less I'm happy in my own place
I wouldnt swap it for some real-estate in outer space
Fast cars and fancy meals – big house with street appeal
All of that means nothing if I dont have your loving feel

Not sure I work that way – I can't keep it going
Making the same mistakes it must be showing...

Living out the same scene – daydream – tired of being mainstream
No one wants to hear me singing softly out of key
I'm huddled in the back room - starting time is really soon
But I just need a break - need a break - need a break from everything

Somethings coming up – its coming around the corner
I wasn't born yesterday but you're definitely warmer
Keep on looking at me - keep on looking at me now
Now – Now – Now

Living out the same scene – daydream – tired of being mainstream
No one wants to hear me singing softly out of key
I'm huddled in the back room - starting time is really soon
But I just need a break - need a break - need a break from everything
