Fran the Sheep

Fran the sheep was about to go to sleep
Snuggled up warm underneath the blanket heap
She turned off the light, she closed her eyes tight
But then... what's that?

Ding, ding, ding, a tapping in the kitchen
Who could it be? It's a flea making tea
A flea making tea? How did he get in here?
He's drinking from my favorite mug, he's spilling sugar on the rug, he says
"Hey there Fran! Won't you have some tea?
It's warm and it's delicious, I think you would agree"

But she says
No-oh-oh! I have got to get to sleep
No-oh-oh! I'm a very tired sheep
I've got a big day ahead, and I have to go to bed
So whoa-oh-oh, let me sleep
But then

Beep, beep, beep, a horn out on the street
Who could it be? It's a crab in a cab
A crab in a cab? He's parked out on the driveway
He waves hello, his eyes are crossed, I think he must have gotten lost, he says
"Hey there Fran! Won't you ride with me?
My taxi's very comfortable, I think you would agree"

But she says
No-oh-oh! I have got to get to sleep
No-oh-oh! I'm a very tired sheep
I've got a big day ahead, and I have to go to bed
So whoa-oh-oh, let me sleep
But then

High, high, high, a noise up in the sky
Who could it be? It's a chimp in a blimp
A chimp in a blimp? This is getting ridiculous
He's flying circles round the town, he's running his engine really loud, he says
"Hey there Fran! Won't you fly with me?
The view up here is beautiful, I think you would agree"
Well, maybe just a quick ride in the blimp

There's sunlight in the room, and the night has turned to day
I must have been asleep this whole time... no way!

Oh-oh-oh, this whole time I was asleep
Oh-oh-oh, I'm one well-rested sheep
I've got a big day ahead, so I'm hopping out of bed
