Young Poets

Oh young poet, I hate to see you cry
Just boys who've left their toys for cold steel
And young haunting cries
Write young poet, in words of pararhyme
Use pagan dreams to forget scenes
Of human's worst war crimes

I saw young love behind the enemy lines
And all, those voices were lost in time

Ahhh
He loved him, he loved him
Ahhh
We loathed him, we loathed him
He fought for your life,
Would you fight for his rights?

Oh young poets, you hardly sleep at night
From longing for your brothers to the shells so loud they frighten
All the poets, you weren't at all at wrong
Just troubled by the youth that dying,
Touched your lips in song
I saw young hearts be split from life
And all, those souls were lost in time
Ahhh
He loved him, he loved him
Ahhh
We loathed him, we loathed him
He died for your life,
But would you fight for his rights?
Ahhh
He loved him, he loved him
Ahhh
We loathed him, we loathed him
Ahhh
He loved him, he loved him
Ahhh
We loathed him, we loathed him
Upon that hill, he sleeps for life
In fragrant sage and thyme
