Thankful For That

There's a cup a coffee brewing
The kids are up and moving
These morning hugs are my favorite kind
A few dollars in my pocket
I'm not gonna knock it
Cause these bills are high but usually paid on time
Yeah, the Lord has given more than I could ask
I can be thankful for that

There's a leaky faucet spewing
More laundry that needs doing
And every time I turn around it's something else
I'm stacking up my problems
But I'm grateful that I got them
I just find myself wishing for some help
And He said all I had to do was just ask
I can be thankful for that

He said give thanks in everything
And I'm learning what that means
To trust His hand
In the good
And in the bad

Sometimes in life I'm facing
Major situations
It's hard to find the hope in front of me
In all the hurt and grieving
I gotta keep believing
That if I lost it all the Lord will never leave
Cause He knows what I need before I ask
He knows what I need before I even ask
And I can be thankful for that
