How to Walk Like a Man
How to walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Dear son,
I wrote you this letter because this world we live in
Ain't too forgiving for truth tellers and it was written
That if you go against the grain they wanna knock you down
That's why I figured it'd be best to tell my story now
I saw my father once since I was in the second grade
Had to learn these lessons on my own I was self made
I been broken down crushed lost trying to find a way
Thought my only power's give a life or take a life away
But wherever you focus your energy flows
So you can stress over the past or get obsessed and go
I was blessed to have a mother kept me fed and clothed
Made me read a thousand books about my worth in gold
So when the block got hot and the homies got shot
And the girls started ho'ing and they running from the cops
I knew I was a prince in an enemy's land
And that's the first lesson how to walk like a man
How to walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
The only person you gotta convince is yourself
Don't try to argue with these idiots it's bad for health
And most of 'em worship money, so increase your wealth
Don't ever tell 'em all your plans learn to move in stealth
And 'Pac right they gone hate you for whatever you do
So choose to pursue what's truest to you
And you ain't never been alone
Look down at the shoulders you standing on
Go and find like minded allies that's standing strong
I ain't grow up with religion but believe in something
Your body is the greatest temple, don't die for nothing
I know five black men college educated dead
You got something in your heart to say, you better say it
'Cause time is your greatest commodity when it's lost
You can never get it back, be conscious of what it cost
Find you a woman that know about more than just dropping draws
Build you a future and find you a cause
Gotta walk like a man
How to walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
How to walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
When you alone on the battlefield
I'll be riding with you that's for real
You gotta breathe deep and think through it
Move through it get used to it
And if it's money over everything
Then you'll be selling out for anything
You see the best thing that you can be
Is yourself, that's what the world needs
Gotta walk like a man
How to walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
How to walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
Walk like a man
