In Between the Willows
Some legends tell that centuries ago
There was a haunted forest near a river bed
And in that land the parents told
Their children not to go there if the moon was red
People feared the evil being that inhabited there
For many missing kids led the whole town into despair
Nobody knew the reason why
They went into the forest and then didn't come back
They prayed to God, to help them all
And guide their feet back home to give them back their luck
But no men wanted to go find the kids themselves
For they have heard the stories 'bout the madness in that place
In between the willows
And then one night, the preacher's son
Just left his house and went outside to take a walk
He heard a hum that lured him down
He went right to the forest where the shadows squawked
The next morning he was not inside his wooden shed
For he was surely yet another missing kid instead
The preacher gathered some neighbours and friends
To help him find his son and the other kids
He told them that there was nothing to fear
And that with God by their side the path would be clear
When they arrived they heard a noise deep down the trail
Grabbed their crucifixes hoping they won't fail
In between the willows
There were no clues of what it was
But everyone was frightened when the noises spread
The willows shook, the hum got loud
They saw the scene and fled, 'cause they were unprepared
All the kids were there with open eyes and crazy frame
Ready to defend their newfound tree-like friend
In between the willows
There was a haunted forest near a river bed
And in that land the parents told
Their children not to go there if the moon was red
People feared the evil being that inhabited there
For many missing kids led the whole town into despair
Nobody knew the reason why
They went into the forest and then didn't come back
They prayed to God, to help them all
And guide their feet back home to give them back their luck
But no men wanted to go find the kids themselves
For they have heard the stories 'bout the madness in that place
In between the willows
And then one night, the preacher's son
Just left his house and went outside to take a walk

He went right to the forest where the shadows squawked

Ready to defend their newfound tree-like friend
In between the willows
