My day started abruptly
By waking up early
On the wrong side of my bed

I sat on my backdoor step
With one hand clutching a coffee
The other a cigarette

Instead of enjoying the peace
And quiet of the sunrise
I'm still half asleep
With tired and bloodshot eyes
Distracted by my own thoughts
And a headache caused
From drinking the night before

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever say
I'm never drinking again
And actually mean it
Or if I'll just keep blowing smoke

And sometimes I think about
Throwing some things
Into a bag and just leaving

But if you're gonna stay
Then I think I will too
I'll be more than okay
If I just stay with you

I'm just so fed up of this god damn place

I don't mind where we go
We can walk, run or drive

Jump on a flight to

Because this place
