Our Gingerbread House

When we grow up won't it be sweet
If you decide to marry me
We'll live in a forest of lollypop trees
In our very own gingerbread house
We'll never have to mow the lawn
Just spread more shredded cocoanut on
From the white pretzel fence to the blue icing pond
That's next to our gingerbread house
We'll put Red Vines and peppermint patties
And gumdrops on the roof
We'll make it so cozy and mistletoe-sy
It'll be You-Know-Who's favorite stop on his route
We'll be snug and toasty Christmas Day
Peeking through sugar glass window panes
At the marshmallow snowman who roll down the lane
In front of our gingerbread house
One day we'll have gingerbread children
A raisin-eyed boy and a girl
In frosting pajamas they'll wait up for Santa
But fall fast asleep like the rest of the world
When we grow up won't it be sweet
If you decide to marry me
We'll live in a forest of lollypop trees
In our very own gingerbread house
There'll be lots of love and good things to eat
In our sweet little gingerbread house
