The Sun and the Moon

I left my turn signal on the whole ride home today
I wish I could say that I'm sorry for not getting out of the way
It's weird, I didn't even notice the constant clicking sound
How long do I make them think that I'm gonna change until they decide
To just go around

The sky looks different tonight, more pink than blue or black
I'll stop and say "wow, it's so pretty" with no one to say it back
The sun and the moon aren't lovers, I think they like being alone
There 'cause they have to be picking up shifts
Get along, it's gonna be a long, long road

And yes, my day was good, my day was fine
Same old brain, same old thoughts, same old
Time moves at the sun's pace, please give me some space
I wanna watch from far away

We'll probably laugh tomorrow and I hope that it's for real
'Cause what a good thing to borrow and not have to beg or steal
And while I was one my way back I saw the moon in the blue
We were all there for a moment, but then hey
What happened, what happened to you

And yes, my day was good, my day was fine
Same old brain, same old thoughts, same old
Time moves at the sun's pace, please give me some space
I wanna watch
I wanna be watched

And yes, my day was good, my day was fine
Same old brain, same old thoughts, same old
Time moves at the sun's pace, please give me some space
I wanna watch
I wanna be watched
From far away
From far away
