Time Alone

I'm trying to keep it clean
but you keep pinching me
we hear some giggling...
three kids are at our feet
but we waited all damn week

You say it's time for bed
I kiss their sleepy heads
and as you turn out the light.
one of them says:
Can I sleep with you tonight
and we're too tired to fight yah

I think that we should disappear

Tomorrow morning there'll be time enough
but we are late getting up
and by the time the kids get on the bus it's 7:49.
and we haven't got that kind of time
Dinner's burned
we're out of milk and I
forgot to pay that bill
even tho it's not ok

and then we get into a fight
I don't give up easily...
not going to have that kind of kind of night
