Resurrection

Resurrection went well
Better than I thought it would
But it might be too soon to tell
So I take the days as they fall into my palms
These insidious things
I find thrilling
These beautiful hours are few but many to me
No distinction to make anymore
In the black and white towers
I cower 'cause I've never been brave

Buried deep in the woods
Are the words that hung so low
What will stand when they're gone?
God I don't know
These insidious things
Don't forgive me for any wrongs
Twisting the red to be pink
Into the air
I watch everything dissipate
Little remains
You couldn't stick around
Nobody holds it all down
Somehow you held it all down
Forget that you held me
