Ghost Ship

Somewhere off the coast on a foggy night
There's a ship in the pale moonlight
Believing all they hear and half as much on sight
Never seeing the morning light

They hit the rocks that day near dawn
As they sailed through the fog
With wind in sail, and their bottles of ale
They heard the siren's song

Lay your weary head on our breast, they said
Here is a home, a place to rest, they said
Leave behind all your worry and care till the end
For the finest whiskey, and maidens fair

But the lonesome breeze remained unseen
And the ship was taken, by the sea
Only one of them, reached the shore
Barely alive, clothes ripped and torn

A lighthouse stands upon high ground
With hope the ghost ship will see, and turn around
But the song holds a spell on the ghost ship, tied to it's fate
Morning has broken, it's already too late

Lay your weary head on our breast, they said
Here is a home, a place to rest, they said
Leave behind, all your worry and care till the end
For the finest whiskey and maiden's fair, they said
