Crimson Robe of Innocent Blood

The firstborn of the world
came to earth as a babe
swaddled tight by His mother
to protect and keep Him safe.
For she knew He was Holy,
the Messiah, Son of God.
So she wrapped Him in
robes made of love.
(Verse 2) Crowds surrounded Christ Jesus
as He told of God's love.
Even touching His garment
healed the wounds they suffered from.
Though His power was mighty
He was humble with the small
in His robe as the servant of all.
But they stripped Him and beat Him
and scourged out His flesh.
When they led Him to slaughter
not a word did He protest.
As His life poured from nail holes
down His skin in Holy flood,
He wore a crimson robe
made of innocent blood.
(Verse 4) So the Holiest price
was then paid for my sin.
And I've washed in that sacrifice
and soon I'll be with Him.
I will rise through that veil to
bow before the great I AM_
in sparking robes washed in
blood of the Lamb.
