About a Cat

A cat is a cat, not a bat or a rat
Not fat and not flat, a mouse dread like a jet
She's the queen of the scene, always keen in the green.
Has a spleen to be mean, feed her clean, won't be lean.
Ev'ry day a new way. Always sway never stay
You can pray to the tray, will she play? You can't say.
Don't hatch only scratch, purring match you can sketch.
A catch she will fetch, ev'ry scratch you must patch.

Important, we're servants,
So be gently and give a hand

Sleeping curled up all day long

She's wise in disguise, likes meat slice and not rice
Never nice to the mice, pet her twice, give a price
Only do she wants to, always true, never blue
She loves you, feeding crew, daily new, smoothly grew
Basic needs, is to feed, often sleep, sometimes breed
Never read, purring greet, eating meat, yes indeed
Fam'ly band, understand. Toilet sand, needs no pants
Pay no rent, make her stand, Feli land, 'til the end

With her socks, in ev'ry box,
Climbing blocks, trees and rocks
