Winter Coat

Bought a winter coat
At the old thrift store
And I went alone
Saw no one I know
Cause it's getting cold
That's what hot chocolate's for
Maybe snow in store
That's what snowmen are for
And I thought of you
In your black snow boots
Thought of pretty lights
And all the streets I like
I saw a mock parade
On the coldest day
Colorado's nice
Where we broke the ice
Alright

So I'm leaving town
No, I'll stick around
Anywhere with you
Any season, too
But it's endless want
Burning through seasons like the ticking clock
So let's say we fell
Into a couple perfect snow angels
Ring the bells
La la la

Got two pockets in my brand new coat
My hands fit perfectly inside the two
But I hope you know
They can always fit yours, too
I've never been so warm
In the stinging cold
It's easy depending who you spend it with
Now I can see your breath

So it's Christmas
Hope you like your gifts
Cause all I want, my dear
Is a new year with you
