Kitchen Floor

(You're still here)
I found mold growing in my kitchen
floor, spreading through the oak hardwood.
Breathing in fungi and I think I might make amends to the
things that been killing me quicker than this mold in my kitchen.
We found ways to cover up all the pain on this skin under our sleeves.
Knives cut deep to keep feeling like we deserve the sting.
Take it from me.
We fall when we're alone but together we'll keep breathing.

Look past the cracks of this broken mirror.
Hardly put together, your reflection's still there.
All these scars prove that you've healed,
yeah what you see is real, you're still here.
You're still here.
You're still here.
You're still here.
You're still here.

Today isn't going all that great,
I stubbed my toe on the door frame, then found mold in my kitchen.
I guess it's just one of those days.
I guess it's just one of those days.
Yeah, black mold holds no grudges on my home,
it grows when no light shines and water flows through cracks from
spills we still won't clean up in any way,
and yet we go on living expecting it to go away.

Look past the cracks of this broken mirror.
Hardly put together, your reflection's still there.
All these scars prove that you've healed,
yeah what you see is real, you're still here.
You're still here.
Oh, we're still here.
Yeah, we're still here.
Oh, we're still here.

I found mold growing in my kitchen
floor, spreading through the oak hardwood.
Breathing in fungi and I think I might make amends to the
things that been killing me quicker than this mold in my kitchen.
