The Great Art of Mediocrity

Sometimes I feel that we're the only ones who really feel.
That we have the most noble intentions.
That we fight against invisible monsters.
Like sword-less knights

At the crossing paths, on this road that leads to nowhere,
Sometimes there are little stones that even shine in the night.
Those are the years slipping by, the wounds and the conquests,
The failures and the successes

To some people the path is obvious,
To others it is compelled,
As if they had renounced for real

There's nothing more ugly than a life
That was wasted by the lack of requirements, passion and desire.
If one day I find myself into this, Into the great art of mediocrity.
And these lines get back at me, there's no doubt I will leave, really.
Unless I find a little stone again, a bit more shinny than the others

To some people the path is obvious,
To others it is compelled,
As if they had renounced for real
