Can't Wait for Winter
Can you recall a winter's day in the middle of July
Remember the endless humid sweat
When frozen raindrops fly
Often too quick to forget the parts we didn't like
Unthinkable to go outside
To walk or ride a bike
So you can't wait for winter
I'd say that you're high
And only 'cause the hottest summer sun fills the sky
If I could tame the axis even if it was a crime
We'd never see the winter come
An eternal summertime
People seem so happy in the early August days
Seeking out the sunshine
And bathing in the rays
But if you have a taste for the wintertime of sport
I'd say this vacation is really much too short
So you can't wait for winter
I'd say you've gone mad
And when the chill does get here
Well I doubt that you'll be glad
The heat can burn the rays can blister
While they shine so bright
But I'll trade you when the ground is all a snowy white
Sooner or later
The sun is a traitor
Makes me want to move to the equator
Why would you wish to hasten the fall
There's not many days in the year after all
And you say you can't wait for winter
I think that I might cry
If I see the first snowflake
Falling from the sky
If you'd rather freeze
Then I'd happily fry
Instead of the icy tears filling up my eyes
Remember the endless humid sweat
When frozen raindrops fly
Often too quick to forget the parts we didn't like
Unthinkable to go outside
To walk or ride a bike
So you can't wait for winter
I'd say that you're high
And only 'cause the hottest summer sun fills the sky
If I could tame the axis even if it was a crime
We'd never see the winter come
An eternal summertime
People seem so happy in the early August days
Seeking out the sunshine
And bathing in the rays
But if you have a taste for the wintertime of sport
I'd say this vacation is really much too short
So you can't wait for winter
I'd say you've gone mad
And when the chill does get here
Well I doubt that you'll be glad
The heat can burn the rays can blister
While they shine so bright
But I'll trade you when the ground is all a snowy white
Sooner or later
The sun is a traitor
Makes me want to move to the equator
Why would you wish to hasten the fall
There's not many days in the year after all
And you say you can't wait for winter

If I see the first snowflake

Instead of the icy tears filling up my eyes
