You can say whatever you like
About the way we were raised up
Done some wrong, done some right
A few things we ain't proud of
We keep a Bible by the bed and
We keep a bottle in the cabinet
I'll be the first to admit
Got some good and we got some bad habits

We're the cold-beer raisers and last-call chasers
And fourth-quarter prayers when it's on the line
Don't-back-downers and stand-our-grounders

We stay out too late
And probably run a little too hard
Throw some money in the plate
Throw the rest in a tip jar

Still got a little road left to run
But it's good to know, I ain't the only one
