Country Leads My Soul

I been all night and thinking about
My grave is all fine but I got down
I never went gone too far from here
I been judged for many years
They say I'm alright because I'm young
And then I get angry like summer sun
Surely denied, I tried calling the Lord
I seem good to die on the road

But I still live smiling slow
That's the reason I say that country leads my soul

I'm tired of driving home from work
Listening to tragic and protest songs
Although I can't even say one phrase
Anytime they hit my face
I cry out here for only one piece
They know I beg but think I don't need
I'm glad I listen to who makes me want to show
Everyone must taste a different flow

But I still live smiling slow
That's the reason I say that country leads my soul

My body is melting down the street I walk
I been feeling bad imagining a hawk
Nothing can bust him and made others run away
Got no idea what to do if I can't fly
Just held me down and I couldn't get peace
I wonder why they don't say what it means
The changes are more than the moment of smile
Being supposed to adapt and cannot shout

But I still live smiling slow
That's the reason I say that country leads my soul

But I still live smiling slow
That's the reason I say that country leads my soul
