The Giant

My voice like roaring thunder
The ground shakes where I walk
The sun leaves when I'm coming
And trees bend when I talk
I understand they fear me
My life doomed by some spell
I left them at a young age
Deep in the woods I dwell

But every now and then they call out to me
Then they tolerate my monstrosity

Rumble in the night
Sounding like a distant storm
It's the giant on his way
And he will be gone when day is coming
Stay inside your home
Shut the windows, lock the gate
While outside the giant's hate
Makes our enemy attackers turn and run

Another mission ended
Indeed they paid me well
But what's another story
Is what my heart would tell
Its pulse is truly human
They judge by the outside
I long to live among them
No more I'd have to hide

But every now and then they call out to me
Then they tolerate my monstrosity

Rumble in the night
Sounding like a distant storm
It's the giant on his way
And he will be gone when day is coming
Stay inside your home
Shut the windows, lock the gate
While outside the giant's hate
Makes our enemy attackers turn and run

I saved them from fire, I saved them from flood
Pulled out horse and cart that got stuck in the mud
Fought in their wars and killed savaged boars
Did everything what they asked me to
My anger grew

Rumble in the night
Sounding like a distant storm
It's the giant on his way
And he will be gone when day is coming
Stay inside your home
Shut the windows, lock the gate
While outside the giant's hate
Makes our enemy attackers turn and run
