Eulogy
Throw me to the fire
Better than to have to live with it
We have known an honest man
Blessed with grace and dignity
Rather hoped they'd write his name in lights instead of flowers
But there's so much that he will never know
And though it could be said that he had never been a looker
Surely not deserved of winters without a shelter
And I'd have left him bleed into the snow if i were tougher
But there's so much that I am yet to know
Better than to have to live with it
We have known an honest man
Blessed with grace and dignity
Rather hoped they'd write his name in lights instead of flowers
But there's so much that he will never know
And though it could be said that he had never been a looker
Surely not deserved of winters without a shelter
And I'd have left him bleed into the snow if i were tougher
But there's so much that I am yet to know
