Mothers and Fathers

There's a painting on the wall
See the leaves begin to fall
Time will always take it's toll
I see my history unfold
They have always been around
An anchor for my journeys
At the end of this old world
So here is what I found

Stop for a moment
Don't forget who we are
Remember our mothers and fathers
All that we found
when we were young
Share between sisters and brothers
Take care of those we love
and send thoughts to those above
Hear our children when they call your name
We are all inside this frame
Paintings on the wall
See the flowers start to grow
These circles never end
they continue to extend

Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers
Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers
Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers
Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers
It's easy to forget
and we take it for granted
Souls will move on
We are never abandoned
Let us stay together
and share our time here
Be grateful to those who raised us with care
Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers
