Ride Or Die

I leaned on the bus window pane
As my
Eyes followed you through the frame
It was obvious I was curious about you
And I
Fogged the glass
Wrote the initials of our names
As we drove pass, I wiped it away
Afraid you'd think I was creepy rather than cute

I like to trace
Back to those days
To the birthplace
Of what would become our romantic cliche

But I think, I think myself from a year ago
Wouldn't think that those glances through a bus window
Would turn to slow dances by your side
But with you, I'm so down for the ride

And I would
Run across the street and sidewalk
All the way to get to your bus stop
Where you and I would wait and talk
About our day
A total of
Five minutes 'til your bus would drive in
But I still
Took my stupid chances
To get a glance of your curly hair and comforting face

I like to trace
Back to those days
To the birthplace
Of what would become our romantic cliche

But I think, I think myself from a year ago
Wouldn't think that those glances through a bus window
Would turn to slow dances by your side
But with you, I'm so down for the ride

Through thick and thin, and intersections
Through potholes on the road
Through the twist and turns
And traffic lights
Or when the wheels feels out of your control
There's one thing I know

Oh I know, I know myself from a year ago
Would never propose that those glances through a bus window
Would turn to slow dances by your side
But with you
I'm so down for the ride

Because through and through
You're my ride or die
