I was staring at the cookies in the cookie jar
When a voice inside my head said I should eat them all
Well my mom gave me two and I scarfed them down
But as soon as I was through
The voice inside my head started to scream and shout
It said I want, I want more than I've got
I don't care what I get as long as I get a lot

But if you keep feeding the monster

I got a present in the mail from my Auntie Sue
She sent me two pairs of socks and a red balloon
Well at first it made me happy then this voice in my head
Started telling me I really wanted bubbles instead
And as I began to moan the monster began to grow
