A New Shade of Yellow

Driving down the highway at night
Trying to stop from crying
I haven't thought about this in a long time

How long has it been since I looked into my eyes
A new shade of yellow in the midst of all that blue

The thorns in this garden cut deep
Blood waters the flowers because
It never rains here except when you cry
But such is the price of living
What's the point if there are no flowers?
So sing to these trees
Kneel for the bees
And bleed for your conscious
Let the soil respond to you
So this garden will sprout once more
