Epitaph

He stood and measured
The earth
The perpetual hills
Did bow

A life appraised
In nations conquered by the sword
Behold the ein sof desolation
Where only ash remains

My lips quivered at the voice
Rottenness enters my bones
I trembled in myself
That I may eternally rest

The flock shall be cut off from the fold
In time thou shall join me in the sun
At the forefront of moral decay
Ruination is inevitable

When I shall hearken back
With this knowledge that I've obtained
Will it feel the same
Will I feel the same
Engulfed in thine sorrow and shame
Time layeth waste to all evermore
