Miracle Christmas

There's Christmas lights in the park on Fifth Avenue
And caroling fills the air in the night
And people wearing Sunday best go nowhere in particular
They marvel at the sounds and the sights

And I'm sitting here on my favorite bench
I can't help but take it all in
I'm wearing my Sunday best, but no one can tell
'Cause I'm dirty and hungry and thin

Jesus was born on Christmas day
As part of God's glorious plan
To take away darkness and light the way
And bring hope to every man

So if you pass my way can you spare a dime
Or a quarter, or dollar, or two
One man's spare change is another man's miracle
If I had some I'd share it with you

Because Christmas is the time for families
And presents and cookies and cheer
So me and the pigeons will share what we have
And celebrate Christmas right here

Christ was born in Bethlehem
The angelic hosts they proclaim
Peace on earth, good will to men
There's hope for us all 'cause He came

So if you pass my way can you spare a dime
Or a quarter, or dollar, or two
One man's spare change is another man's miracle
So I'll thank you
Yes I'll thank you
For my Miracle Christmas from you
