They Just Go Anyway!

In high school, I hung with kleptomaniacs
Misdemeanour-catching addicts
Frantic fanatics and nymphomaniacs,
platonic lovers and kids with bad habits

My brain, ingested every single signal of dopamine
I mean it's working out for the time being
I hope my meaning's not lost
I think I need a change of pace
At the very least, a change of face

I'm wasting my time
I'm walking it backwards
I'm keeping my head high
But not where it matters

And supposedly, in some weird stark
I'll appear to be all the holes that I see in my livelihood and my wantings, man I can never be honest
So here's a place to start
I prefer my dreams with ketamine and a cocktail of sedatives to keep my seams hanging on
Not wanting to break apart
But they just go anyway
