The Key

There's a crack in the glass
Didn't know what to say
Realized I don't say it enough
Is that the problem
Feels like practice don't make perfect
I'm all alone
At least that's what I keep on saying
I'm all alone I swear

I found a key to a door
That I thought would make me happy upon entry
But all that I found was guilt
I tried my best
Pry it open stay unspoken until I saw your face through my blood over the place

I put it on a paper it look nice
Got a lot of sugar but no spice
Coulda sworn I wanted this
Put it in my gps
I was on the right track moving with the right pack
Thought I found the right chance so I took it
I decided make my own plans
Couldn't hear the truth and now I'm locked out of the house I built

I found a key to a door
That I thought would make me happy upon entry
But all that I found was guilt
I tried my best
Pry it open stay unspoken until I saw your face through my blood over the place

It doesn't matter how far I run
I keep on finding myself in the middle of the plan
In the palm of the hand
All that I understand is the road I've paved is headed for hell
This is my fault
