Crystal Chandelier
I was cleaning out my old life yesterday
Came across this unmarked box from long ago
Inside was our old broken crystal chandelier
I told you I would fix one day
Because you loved it so
And the second that I opened it it stopped me in my tracks
And like a river from a broken dam you came flooding back
I still see pieces of your light in our crystal chandelier
Lighting up the shadows in my memory
Some say the past is gone but tell that to my tears
And all these beautiful flashes of you here
I see shining in our crystal chandelier
And man there are some things you just can't throw away
No matter how much time and trouble they have been
They tell me take a photo but it's not the same
As touching these old crystals and feeling you again
And even though it's been so many years since you've been gone
Sometimes I need to keep my time with you from moving on
Came across this unmarked box from long ago

Because you loved it so
And the second that I opened it it stopped me in my tracks
And like a river from a broken dam you came flooding back

And all these beautiful flashes of you here
I see shining in our crystal chandelier

And even though it's been so many years since you've been gone
Sometimes I need to keep my time with you from moving on
