Eye

Sitting down, your tummy rumbles
Feet bleed
Mind in shambles
Did your mummy die, did she have cancer?
Who hurt you
Looking around, you realise now
Nothing happens, nothing matters
Always living a second in the past
You hurt you

And all of a sudden
A veil is lifted
The second is shifted
Perception is in your hands
Light absorbs your surroundings
Controlling your thoughts, The colossal eye appears through the clouds

Wake up later, somethings happened
You don't remember, where you napping?
Look outside the light is nigh but
Where's the eye?
Now you're getting really angry
Mean old man is young and savvy
Marble columns pave the grey
So far away

But once again
A veil is lifted
The second is shifted
Clouds part in its wake
With its gaze, it sets fire to the sky
And like a moth to the flame,
You glance up to the eye

Its glowing so bright
You have to cover your eyes
And the things you have come to despise
Are the reasons that you're alive
And later when the day is growing worn
More uncertainty is born
The night leers
Exulting lingering fears

And later in your bed
All these things are racing through your head
No matter how hard you try
You can't picture the eye
This life is tearing you apart and you knew it from the start
you'd do it again in heartbeat
So you keep your seat

And the next day
When the veil is lifted
By the light you are gifted
Dazed by its ways
The scene is set, the order it buys
But by the end of the show you're left wondering why

Its glowing so bright
You have to cover your eyes
And the things you have come to despise
Are the reason you're alive
And later when the day is growing worn
More uncertainty is born
The night leers
Exulting lingering fears
