Abandon the standards compare
Drive and fright
Motivation and the intuitive need to survive
We partake in decisive design
To identify
And respond to traditional guides
And the situations which present in our lives

In time we hit cracks in the walk
Closed roads, detours, and un-crossable floods
And we find ourselves in darkened spaces
Attempting to plant our feet and plan for directional advances
We attempt to document our tracks to affect future placement
Shooting film with abysmal light, disposable, flash-ready-when-lit light won't light
Pick up your pack of black gloss satin or matte, rectangular traps

Searching for signals in an incomprehensible stack of misprints and under-exposures
Place in the trash, we seek to bask under the sun
The burning orb hanging above

But am I walking though electric light?
My mind's wire frayed and held in with tape and twine
Tied and splinted to hide its plight
Or splayed to expose copper and gold
Wasted current outwardly flows
Blacken the bulbs that have sparkled and glowed
And illuminated paths to idealistic goals
This is killing the green that had previously grown
Spraying the weeds, but browning all that is close
We are driving for hours churning in circles like spokes
Hopelessly lost but pretending to know
