Impossible

Sometimes when I journey deep inside of my mind
I'll make a detour and lose myself again
And it doesn't matter which way I decide
I've come to realize my troubles never end

So if you happen to have some luck I'm gonna need it
I don't have a roadmap and I'm flying half blind

Just tiny inklings behind my clouds of comprehension
I don't understand them but I'd like to sometime
I'll hope this ends up to be a place I'm meant to be in
Or at least I'll get there while I still have some time

The more that I want it the harder it gets to find
One day I'm backwards, the next I'll see the end
And it drives me crazy searching for the signs
Can't seem to fathom the things I've yet to learn

How many errors before the answer's all I'm saying
Does my apprehension only keep me tongue-tied

No sense in worrying while that clock just keeps on ticking
Even if its rhythm breaks my concentration
I need enough of it just to reach my destination
And I want some excess when the journey is done
How many must-haves, requirements, and preconditions
Until I'm the person that I was hoping to become

You gotta eat
You gotta eat when you're hungry
You gotta sleep
You gotta sleep so you can dream
I'm gonna need
I'm gonna need
I'm gonna need something impossible to see if it completes me
You gotta learn
You gotta learn
You'll learn to read
You've gotta be
You've gotta be better than me
I'm gonna need
I'm gonna need
I'm gonna need something impossible to see if it completes me
You gotta pray
You gotta keep your faith in me
You gotta make
You gotta keep all your money
I'm gonna need
I'm gonna need
I'm gonna need something impossible to see if it completes me
