They say things that should be but aren't
They take all the silence and break it apart
It has to be broken to be able to fix it
Time climbs into clocks and dies there

Personally I am at home with me
There is some doubt about the rest of them
Night comes to everyone the same
To be is not to be gone, gone away

Secrets are everyone's friend
They come in handy again and again
Secrets are always the things
That carry the wages of sin

Is the light at the end of the tunnel real
Crows are supposed to fly straight so they say
How can it matter to them which way

Do you have anything you didn't steal
Did it put out the fire in your brain
What would you do with that great deal
Blame it on everyone else on the train

Why don't you call the ones you have left
Ya they'll help ya break all the rules you made
Just remember to keep the pearls for yourself
Because you know wisdom has no enemy here

There have never been any temptations
It is the lack of choice that brings the sins
You can just make it up as you go along
Take your own advice and keep looking in

The night always has its secrets to keep
The future has nothing to hide from the now
