I saw these two dudes following me the other day
It's cool though, it's normal, they're always there
It kinda scared me at first
But when I more closely observed
I recognized the first
As God's Mercy and the other as His Goodness
Since that moment I've not been apprehensive at their presence
Their absence, however, would concern me
See, God doesn't operate like you and me
He sets up a picnic in full view of my foes
In plain sight, I see their swords and bows
And even scarier, their tongues
Insults intricately strung out
Father pulls out
A vial of oil and places droplets on my head
Reminding me, and my enemies, that I'm His kid
It's as if I AM is daring them
Go ahead, make a move against my priest!
Oh, the sound of chirping crickets never was so sweet
And this sweet aroma escaping my cup?
Blessings so heavy I can't hold it up
When darkness envelopes me and death is close by
I have no use for fear, I look evil in the eyes like
What!? You don't have any power here!
You're already defeated, just a dead man walkin

Into my mind and heart, only The Sacrificed One does the talkin
His rod and staff are loving arms
His comfort my soothing balm
He refreshes my everything
And IS my everything
As his path for me unfolds
I place my small feet in the prints of his toes

On green grass
