Aphelion

In the stillness
Of dappled sunlight
Flickering memories
like chiming bells

I am watching
From a distance
The lingering carousel
Never standing still

When the autumn
Sheds its burdens
Skelton leaves
Feed the dirt

In the winter
The aphelion
My heart strays
Furthest from the sun
Furthest from the earth

Just like the winter that has ended
Lay down your troubles to the spring
Aching hearts, they can be mended
We will see what the summer, it will bring

I would beg you
For forgiveness
But it fades
When I close my eyes

In a moment
An accidental burden
Released by conjuring spells
Grace in disguise

I don't care for
Gilded secrets
Extracted from
Shallow Cracks

When the sun meets
The aphelion
My feet move closer to the earth
Never looking back

Just like the winter that has ended
Lay down your troubles to the spring
Aching hearts, they can be mended
We will see what the summer, it will bring
