Imperium I: Sanctus

It begins
The era of endless war
Suffering has yet to end
For it's only begun

For man, woman, and child
The spiraling vortex
Of Man
Falling from grace as
We defy the Gods

Cadia Falls
Subject to the whim
Of the darkest thought

The beacon shall hold
A spire of light
In the dark
Lights our way

The world thrust into the grasp of obsidian
Half remains
We live in the light and the fear of the dark

He sits upon his throne
Petrified, an eternity of suffering
Countless slain in his name
Against his decree

Zealots
Blind in worship and piety
Heeding the sword, ignoring sacred word

Baptized in light
Unholy, we are saved
Sanctus shimmers
Where darkness dare reign

But yet He persists
A war so futile
Powers fueled by thought
Like stone to Sisyphus

Stand against gods
And be broken
Condemned to your throne
Suffer forever

Our plan lays
Claim to them all
Mankind shall never
Know the light

It begins
The era of endless war
Suffering has yet to end
For it's only begun

I shall deny the
Gods their way
I shall raze the
Constructs of faith
I decree

Suffer
Forever
In silence
Anathema
