Cyclops Barn

Pages ripped from a book
It's one that you've all read before
You'd toss your coins in the pond
In front of a beggar wanting more

Giants pound on walls
Asking when they may scream Down halls
Can barely walk at all
Off balance when their vision calls
The light that shines through
The unkept breaking roof
Is not much of a view
But a dream they hope might come True

Watching me tend to the yard
Distractions only detract from the Barn
Rain makes my blades grow tall
But only cause dark clouds know How to bawl

Giants pound on walls
Asking when they may scream Down halls
Can barely walk at all
Off balance when their vision calls
The light that shines through
The unkept breaking roof
Is not much of a view
But a dream they hope might come True

Listen
One eye I hope won't impair their
Vision
I hope it's with depth and not too Shallow

I tried
To raise them as if my own
They'd cry
Bred like beasts to win best in
Show
