I'm Going Somewhere

The sun was shining in my eyes when I woke up in the car
I turned the key and started on home
When I rounded that last corner coming home from the bar
I felt like there was something going horribly wrong

The wind was gently blowing there was a note taped to the door
The sun was high and bright in the sky
There were Walmart bags spilling my clothes out on the porch
I couldn't read the note must be the sun light in my eyes
So

I'm going somewhere somewhere
Where the sun don't shine so bright
And I don't have to shade my eyes
And the whiskey river runs deep and wide
Somewhere where I don't have to think
About a single solitary thing
And these women will stay with me in this dim lit bar
As long as I sit here and pay for their drinks
Somewhere where nobody cares
If I tell the truth or I lie
And I won't see disappointment in a face
Or a frown on a lip
Or a tear in an eye
Somewhere
Somewhere where nobody cares
If I tell the truth or I lie
And I won't see disappointment in a face
Or a frown on a lip
Or a tear in an eye
Somewhere
