Walk

We were on a road stepping side by side
Without a care without a wall without a worry on my mind
Then we crossed a weathered bridge and sighed, didn't think to talk
There was no need we were simply on a walk

As I look back at all that's happened and gone wrong
You know I wondered "God, what's you so long?"
And while the world is still a messy little place
He holds all things together and is with the one who waits

And hearts can grow
As the seasons they change
And I'll never know
Why life can be so strange

I am never perfect, there are lots of flaws you'll find
I don't know what's quite worth it and all too often cross the line
But you are patient you are kind, a mirror, reflection a reminder
Of the one who knows and loves me best
He cares for you and I so let's forget the rest
In His arms we can rest

And our hearts can grow
