Fell In Love With a Dream
As I lay in bed and close my eyes, the rain is pouring down
When I open them a sapphire sun shines upon my crown
Clouds curtsy through the ocean skies, fish fly beneath the breeze
A swathe of snails sing sultry songs as I sift through emerald trees
As I stroll along the garden path the grass waves me hello
I stop to smile and ask a blade which direction I should go
She points ahead to Blueberry Hill, "'tis where your love does lay"
So I say adieu and pursue my shoe past the gentle grass duvet
It may not seem quite right
I can't believe it's true
But I fell in love with a dream
And I don't know what to do
Although I'm standing 'neath the sun
Travelling through the clouds
I could close my eyes at any time
And the rain would be pouring down
The thin ice cloaks the crimson lake I bravely skate upon
I challenge death for maidens heart, I can hear her sweet love song
But along my expedition I catch a hideous sight
Floating frozen 'neath the ice my corpse a wilted white
And in my head I hear a voice place hexes on my soul
The sky is lost in flaming mist I begin to lose control
But before I break I see her face bloom inside my heart
I find the strength to bridge the length that's keeping us apart
It may not seem quite right
I can't believe it's true
But I fell in love with a dream
And I don't know what to do
Although I'm standing 'neath the sun
Travelling through the clouds
I could close my eyes at any time
And the rain would be pouring down
I've reached the base of Blueberry Hill, my love shall wait no more
She calls to me with a voice I know I've heard before
Racing time I quickly climb to greet her pearl smile
Blossoms fly and lilies lie as I catch her gentle eye
At last we meet with dancing eyes and hands so soft to hold
Dazzling smile, hair of spiral angels coloured gold
I lay beside her and close my eyes we float amongst the clouds
And when in bed I open them the rain is pouring down
The rain is pouring down
The rain is pouring down
The rain is pouring down
When I open them a sapphire sun shines upon my crown
Clouds curtsy through the ocean skies, fish fly beneath the breeze
A swathe of snails sing sultry songs as I sift through emerald trees
