Polar Bear and Palm Tree
There once was an island in the middle of the sea
Swaying in the breeze was a single palm tree
There once was a polar bear who escaped from the zoo
He wanted to get as far away as he could
So he dove into the ocean
And he swam and swam and swam as any free bear would
Polar bear saw the island and the palm tree guiding him there
A god send a miracle an excellent gift for a retired bear
So she saved his skin
She had never seen such a magnificent creature
Silver hair electric in the sun
Warm brown eyes were his greatest feature
An awesome sight for anyone
He lay down beside her
It was too good to be true
He never felt like this back home
Even though he came from ice
He was not made of stone
Then she blew into his ear
Polar bear you could stay here
They helped each other out
She gave him shade and protection
She was his inspiration
When it got too hot for his own good he'd go for a swim
She under under under understood
That's when the birds enlightened her
The polar bear had frightened her
As time flew they grew apart
He stayed in the water more often than not
Because he explained it gets so hot
You know polar bears need snow
And palm trees need to grow
That's where the similarities end
And only heaven heard her heart bend
As he finally swam away
As he finally swam away
woo ooh woo ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh nah
Swaying in the breeze was a single palm tree
There once was a polar bear who escaped from the zoo
He wanted to get as far away as he could
