Beneath the White Rainbow

Dazed by the crimson haze
We recall cinder cascades (cinder cascades)
Hearts beating faster now
For we know what future awaits (future awaits)

Days passing without any semblance of a name (semblance of a name)
Eagle-eyed as they scour the page (scour the page)
Away though the spirit hides, the tongue will surely tell
Of what comes to be
Words of weight offered without a remedy!

Only with you can I find the way out
Leaving all but the spirits behind
'Til that day comes, we could always take shelter
Among all the ferns and the pines
Violently sundered, the tide washes over us
Cleansing our fears as they close in
There you'll be waiting on wine-dark horizons
Beneath the white rainbow

Lick the wounds, cauterize
Mend these unearthly binds
Interdimensional
Spirit, body, and mind
Love, what by the name if not sorrow?

Much like a needle through the heart
One day the madness will end
The hunters slinking through the bracken
Ready to tear this reverie apart
My grief at leaving you is boundless
But I must never return
So in the forest you will find me there
I'll leave a trail that leads you home

Now burn the bridges end to end
Fall to the river below
For I was nothing but an impostor
Wide-eyed and chasing white rainbows
The years of sacrifice erode
The warp and weft of my soul
Our wretched hovel is devoured
By yellow meadows flooding with rose!

Only with you can I find the way out
Leaving all but the spirits behind
'Til that day comes, we could always take shelter
Among all the ferns and the pines
Violently sundered, the tide washes under us
Cleansing our fears as they close in
There you'll be waiting on wine-dark horizons
Beneath the white rainbow
